the amount of pages read by an individual is reducing year after year. Most people are struck with their phones and social media takes all their time. In 2019 , I started to read more books every week and I was able to complete 77 books. My favorite genre is non-fiction and stick to the genre for almost 2 years and rarely I read some fiction stories. No skipping and I read all of them, I was able to understand the concept and deliver it to my audience at BOOKS in Tamil Youtube channel
Is reading books doing any good in my life? Reading a book is a healing and it gets rid of your past. You become more confident and you will be happier, able to do more work on time. Is it really possible to read 3 books a week? I am not faking, if you plan ahead then it's possible. I do check the author's website and interview about the book. I get to know about the idea of the book, you can't straight away read a book without any information but this helps.
Do I read in Parts? or Read it completely?
The answer would be " Depending on the book". Some books are quick and easier, while some other books I need to fastly read 50 pages each time which takes around 30 minutes each time. Do I remember all the things after reading the book? I focus on the important things from the book, Not all stuffs are important. I read 77 books so far and I remember them with one-liners in my notebook.
One thing to successful with this habit would be "Following the Routine"
No matter how busy you are, just focus on 20 mins in reading a book.This is your investment in time and has long term effect. You may not reap its benefits in a week time but after 10 years, you will be able to understand things faster than other people. It saves your time and you will be a genius among your friends. People think about reading too much books at the same time and keep shopping but the reality is that you never go beyond 100 pages.
